We are in search of an experienced Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) professional who possesses a deep understanding of the Energy and Industrial construction sector. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in construction health and safety principles, coupled with proven technical skills in occupational safety and health disciplines.

Reporting to the Team Leader of the HSE department in France, you will Promote and establish a robust Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) culture that embraces a zero-harm philosophy.

The Role

  • Foster an environment where the highest safety standards are upheld
  • Ensure full adherence to local and national Health and Safety regulations during all project construction phases
  • Develop and implement effective procedures and controls aligned with The Company standards, HSE legislation, and industry best practices
  • Collaborate across various project disciplines, including engineering, design, construction, commercial, and O&M teams, to seamlessly integrate HSE considerations into project development and execution
  • Coordinate essential aspects of the construction health and safety program, such as site access, security, project induction, first aid, welfare, and emergency protocols
  • Lead the creation and delivery of safety training, workshops, and awareness sessions in consultation with the site construction management team
  • Establish an active health and safety monitoring system, incorporating regular audits and inspections of site conditions and contractor activities
  • Conduct frequent HSE site visits to identify areas of non-conformance and opportunities for improvement. Collaborate with the project team to develop and oversee the execution of HSE improvement action plans
  • Contribute expertise to the hazard identification and risk assessment process for high-risk activities and processes
  • Compile and monitor HSE performance data, producing reports on relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for senior stakeholders. Lead incident investigations, ensuring thorough root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions

Your profile, Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in a related role
  • Background in Renewable Energy or have worked in a windfarm energy industry
  • Relevant HSE qualification
  • Additional qualification in Construction or Engineering would be advantageous
